At Mitchpine, we take quality seriously. That's why we constantly

refine our processes to ensure our wood products meet the highest standards.


Product Specification

Mitchpine produces and supplies New Zealand Radiata Pine round and sawn timber.  These are treated with CCA Oxide wood preservative as per NZ3640;2003. Mitchpine’s treated timber is supplied wet (>24% moisture content).


CCA Treatment

CCA stands for copper chromium arsenate which has been in use in New Zealand for over 50 years and has a proven record of safety and performance when used as recommended. CCA is New Zealand’s best known and trusted name for wood treatment and means that the treated wood products are highly resistant to decay and insects for decades.


Each board, pole and roundwood is stamped on one end with our specific Mitchpine treatment Plant Number showing:

 

  • Treatment Plant Number: 411 = Mitchpine Limited
  • Treatment Chemical: 1 = CCA
  • Hazard Class: H3.2, H4, H5, H6
  • Qualified Treatment Auditor: NZPC Woodmark Brand
  • Producing Company: Mitchpine Limited

 

Grading

Mitchpine Limited grades to NZS 3631: 1988. 

Where there is a requirement for SG8 (wet), Mitchpine produces stress graded rough sawn timber that compiles with NZS 3604: 2011. These boards are identified with a label attached to one end of the board.

All  Poles produced complys with NZS3605 and is peeled to remove bark and following the natural taper of the log.
