Mitchpine has been producing quality outdoor wood products since 1975. We're a family-owned and operated business now in our third generation, based in Levin, Horowhenua.

Our sawmill is located at 931 State Highway One, Levin, in the Horowhenua district. We proudly support local community groups, schools and fundraising projects in the region.

Yes. We run our own fleet of trucks and drivers, giving us full control over delivery from our yard to farm drops, building sites and retail stores right across New Zealand.

We supply treated posts, poles, timber and our own Domeloc fencing system, plus a range of landscaping supplies — everything from fencing and decking to house piles, retaining walls, shelter belts and marine applications.

Our round fencing posts, strainers, half rounds and quarter rounds come in a range of diameters and lengths from 1.8m up to 3.6m, to suit farm, orchard and lifestyle-block fencing. Get in touch with your required sizes and we'll confirm availability.

Our treated timber poles are used for playgrounds, retaining walls, marine jetties, shelter belts, piling and general construction — we can supply the right length and diameter for the job.

Domeloc is our own wooden fencing system, made to order and designed so no special tools are required to install it. It can be tailored to fencing projects of any size.

All our posts, poles and timber are made from New Zealand-grown Radiata Pine, treated with CCA (copper chromium arsenate) preservative to NZS 3640:2003. CCA has been used safely in New Zealand for over 50 years and protects the treated wood from decay and insects for decades.

Every board, pole and roundwood is stamped with our Mitchpine treatment plant number (411), treatment chemical code, hazard class (H3.2, H4, H5 or H6) and the NZ Timber Preservation Council Woodmark brand, confirming it's treated to standard.

Yes. Our timber is graded to NZS 3631:1988, our SG8 (wet) rough-sawn timber complies with NZS 3604:2011, and our poles comply with NZS 3605.

Yes. We support customers through the full export process, including phytosanitary documentation and FSC-certified product sourcing, and can work with export providers to ship posts, poles and timber internationally. We've recently supplied horticultural poles and posts to Asia and building timber and poles to the Pacific Islands.
